The biodegradable sponge should be placed directly on the area covered with oil, whether in water or on land. It quickly absorbs the oil thanks to its porous structure, separating it from the environment. It is then removed and the oil can be reused. Because it is made from natural materials, the sponge can be disposed of without polluting or, in some cases, reused after cleaning.
